The Dog
The little girl hadn’t realized the dog was magical, and had helped to make the clown disappear! The little girl asked the dog, “What is your name? Do you have a family? Why are you here alone? Do you need help?”
The dog didn’t respond, but she put her head close to the little girl’s leg, and she petted it.
After that, the little girl walked home, and the dog followed her. She thought that if the dog followed her, it was because it didn’t have a family. Maybe she could be the dog’s family! They were both lonely.
When the little girl arrived home, her parents were worried about her, but they didn’t hug her. Instead, they scolded her. The little girl couldn’t possibly tell them what happened, and her parents closed the door in front of the dog, not letting the dog come in.
But when the little girl got to her room and saw her bed, the dog was there!
“Don’t feel sad,” said the dog. “I am here, and I can keep you company, and you can keep me company too. I am a girl like you, and my name is Laiza”.
The little girl couldn’t understand what was happening. She didn’t know if it was a dream or what… but she was sure the dog hadn’t just spoken, right?
Then, Laiza continued, “I’ve traveled a lot! I am a traveler by heart, I met a lot of people in this world and other worlds. Sometimes, some people fear me. I don’t know why! Look at me, I am very small. I’m here because I want a family, and I saw you need a friend. I can be your friend!”
When Laiza finished talking, the little girl walked towards her and hugged her.
